Hi Joe, that’s an interesting idea, and welcome feedback, many thanks for the suggestion. Mind you, just about every DAP is compatible with almost any software out there these days as they either load as the device itself or as an external hard drive with a letter.

I think it would be good to mention how difficult or how easy it is to load, delete and organize music from the players and as with accessing the player from a laptop or desktop computer. I’m just a consumer with no knowledge of DAP players or other music devices but I’m in the market to buy. It seems your reviews are more tuned to an esoteric audience.

Maybe the author found it easier to use than you Craig?

Sent it back

If the documentation is the same as the ap-80 pro. Stay away. It will be a waste of your time and plenty of frustration. Ridiculous the author doesn’t mention this anywhere, great you got this new device, but you can’t figure out how to use it. Not priceless.

And then i found this rabit hole, where ppl buy 5000$ headphones… Could you explain me whats so good about these audio things?

The problem -based on my personal experience upon having owned an AP60 Pro first, and then an AP80 Pro, is that… these break all too easily. The jack is their weak link. Either of the aforementioned DAPs lasted about three months before the jack (3.5mm on the AP60 and 2.5mm balanced on the AP80Pro) started acting up and then failed completely. I bought the second DAP after the bad experience because I loved the sound, and I put it down to sheer bad luck (I treat my gear very carefully) and I naively thought that, statistically, I would have less chances of getting another dud (you know, lightning striking twice and all that). Nope; I got, indeed, another dud. They are built like tanks, yes, but that’s totally useless if the jack is as flimsy as it gets. And these are super-flimsy. And I couldn’t even use the 3.5mm jack when the balanced 2.5mm failed; the audio output was shorted. Therefore, as I say, based on experience, I will stay away from any Hidizs thing with a jack on it. In the end, cheap gear can be expensive: spending almost $400 in two DAPs and getting 6 months of use is not what I’d call, um, a sound value for money.

Just My Opinion...

I’m a big collector of mp3s and in price that’s what counts a great deal in places. I think in places you were a tiny bit harsh in your views that you choose to use considering the price involved.

My own collection ranges from the cheapest (under £200) to over £600 and that gives me a range to pick from. Everyone has different hearing and I like the player in its easy to transport, (especially with the amp and headphones).

In my opinion it’s JUST GREAT!
